The decision to lead or co-lead a group for survivors of sexual molestation is not one to be undertaken lightly. The work, while rewarding, is stressful and demanding. Those who seek treatment might be described as having a “brittle” personality structure in that they may function relatively well in positive climates but respond disproportionately to stress.
